GHLL RSE Training for Secondary and FE Setting
Relationships and sex education (RSE) should be delivered by competent and confident educators.
This new resource has been written and collated by lead teachers from GHLL and a specialist sexual health nurse. It is suitable for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
GHLL offers this course for delivery of Secondary RSE to support the continued professional development (CPD) of teachers, PSHE leads, school nurses, youth workers and others involved in teaching RSE and providing one-to-one advice to children and young people.
The training shows guidelines in what to deliver in the Secondary RSE programme, sample lessons, some resources available, useful links, and PowerPoints. Also, guidance on how to deal with sensitive issues.
The course will take staff through the resource showing how it can be used by new staff in it’s entirety or as a pick and mix for those with more experience who want information and resources for a specific area.
It will allow staff to deliver the RSE programme with confidence. It will also give suggestions on the essential RSE polices and information to parents
