- understand and follow the statutory requirements set out in the2018 KS2 Assessment and Reporting Arrangements (ARA)
- make robust and accurate evidence based teacher assessment in writing.
In order to engage fully with the aims of the day, please ensure you bring the following with you on the day.
A. SAMPLES OF PUPILS’ WORK For up to three pupils, please bring samples of writing to inform discussions on standardisation and moderation throughout the day.
B. NATIONAL CURRICULUM IN ENGLAND KS1 and KS2 English programmes of study (pp 1-8: Aims for English, ‘Spoken language’; pp 23-38: KS2 PoS; pp 39-48: Appendix 1 ‘Spelling’; pp 63-88: ‘Phonetic Alphabet’, Appendix 2 ‘Vocabulary, grammar and punctuation’ and ‘Glossary for the PoS for English’)

Interim pre-KS2 standards The pre-key stage standards are for pupils who are working below the overall standard of national curriculum tests. They are for use in the 2017/18 academic year.
