In light of this change we would like to provide further advice on working arrangements.

Forthcoming Training and Network Events
Following yesterday’s government announcements about restricting movements and contacts, we are informing you that that ALL forthcoming training and network events have been cancelled with immediate effect.
Further updates to follow.
Scam around Free School Meals
Schools have already reported that parents and carers of children in receipt of free school meals are being targeted by fraudsters. Fraudsters are targeting families, emailing parents and carers with messages such as ‘ If your child is entitled to free school meals send your bank details to the school and they will help with funding while the school is closed’. The email contains links for the parents to follow if they want to receive the this funding – these links are fake. This is a scam. Please share this information with parents and carers to make them aware of this scam.
In light of the current Government Guidance, the Safeguarding Children Executive has taken the decision to postpone all multi-agency and single agency training including school/early years visits for a period of 2 months.
However we are still here to support and offer guidance on safeguarding matters. If you buy into traded services and you would like to take this opportunity to have your single central record checked then please do feel free to email your Single Central Record to the team at firstname.lastname@example.org (using Egress Switch). During this time we are working on skeleton staff, so if you telephone the office it may take us slightly longer than normal to return your call. We do have an answer machine and any messages left will be picked up daily and passed to the appropriate team. Alternatively you can email any school/early years queries to email@example.com. If concerns relate to a child who is at immediate risk of harm, please contact the MASH on 01452 426565.
COVID - 19
In light of recent Government advice to reduce all non-essential travel and social distancing, the Area Finance Office have decided to suspend all non-essential school visits with immediate effect.
Cheque book schools are required to complete year ends and therefore this will become a priority service for the team. For Cheque Book schools that have purchased a year end return from the Area Finance team, your PAA will be contacting you directly to arrange this with you, via remote support.
For central / academy school visits, where visits have been arranged your PAA/ FSO will contact you and we aim to be able to offer a “remote support” visit, however the timing of this “remote visit” may have to differ from the originally offered day/time.
May we please advise that we will be operating our helpline as normal, however on occasions this may have to be done on a remote basis. In these circumstances you will be asked to leave a message, please do so and a member of the team will return your call.
Alternately you are able to email the team on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond asap.
We thank you for your support and understanding during these unprecedented times.
